What Makes Our Non Toxic Play Mat Safe?

We designed our tummy time mat using safe, natural materials that qualify for the highest safety certifications. Use our tummy time mat with confidence knowing we're committed to protecting your baby's health. Here's how we keep your baby safe:

1. Natural Materials

Our play mat includes several parts, all made from natural materials.

Foam Core: The foam core is natural rubber, or latex, from trees. This layer is enclosed in soft, organic cotton. Although you won't come in contact with the foam, those who have severe latex allergies should avoid this product.

Waterproof Cover: Life happens. That's why we included an ultra-thin barrier of TPU sandwiched between two soft cotton layers. This cover makes spills and accidents easy to clean up.

Organic Cotton Cover: The adorable outer cover is made of organic cotton, protecting your baby's delicate skin. Choose from our attractive two-sided designs.

2. What's NOT in Our Non Toxic Play Mat

What's not in our play mat is just as important as what's in it. Did you know that the average foam play mat off-gases harmful chemicals? We don't use toxic materials such as vinyl, phthalates, perfluorinated compounds (PFCs), polyurethane foam, EVA, formamide, and other chemicals commonly found in baby mats. We are 100% committed to chemical safety.

Several research studies show that many foam mats such as popular puzzle mats or EVA foam mats contain chemicals. One example is formamide, often used in EVA foam to make it more pliable. It may be bad for your child's reproductive health. Similarly, phthalates, which make plastics more flexible and durable, are also harmful for infants.

We don't treat our play mats with any "protective" coatings such as fire retardants or harmful waterproofing materials. Research shows that choosing mats without these coatings can keep your baby safe from harmful chemicals.

3. Safety Certified

All elements of our play mat are OEKO-TEX® Certified. This third-party certification tests textiles for over 1,000 harmful substances. Have peace of mind knowing that our play mat is perfectly safe for your baby.

Plus, our outer cover uses GOTS 100% organic cotton. This certification also rigorously tests textiles for synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs.

We have also tested and certified our play mat to comply with STM F963, U.S. CPSC safety standards, California Prop 65, and TUV.

Safe Materials

When your baby practices tummy time, you don't want them breathing in toxic chemicals. Our infant play mat provides just the right amount of cushion and firmness for safe and comfortable time on the floor, without compromising their health!

How to Use Our Tummy Time Mat

A play mat offers the perfect cushiony space for tummy time, protecting your little one's knees and elbows. Try tummy time by lying your baby on their back on the play mat. Then, gently roll them over onto their belly.

Tummy time is essential for your baby's development. Yet, not all baby's enjoy time on their belly. Entertain your baby during tummy time with toys, books, or a mirror set up so your baby can see their face.

Another tip is to try having your baby lie on their side. This way, they work on muscle development in a new position.
