Brittany Xavier, an LA mother to three, recently gave her children’s playroom a refresh with Piccalio playroom items. Xavier started out as a fashion blogger and is now widely recognized for her content on fashion, style, and family. She is passionate about clean living in all aspects of her life, including her children’s furniture and toys.

We interviewed her to learn more about how she balances function and style in her home. Take a tour of her playroom with us and learn more about her style philosophy.

Piccalio: What drew you to Piccalio?

Brittany Xavier: I was drawn to Piccalio for their minimalist design, quality craftsmanship, and commitment to non-toxic materials. The pieces fit seamlessly into our home, offering both function and style.

Piccalio: How would you describe your interior design or style philosophy?

Brittany Xavier: My style is clean and modern, with a focus on simplicity and natural elements. I believe in creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical.

For their playroom, I wanted it to be an extension of that but an area that sparks creativity with items that they can play on. I love the organic cotton Play Mat for my infant son to play on as well - it's become a cozy area for Poppy to look at her books too.

Piccalio: What do you look for when shopping for your kids?

Brittany Xavier: I prioritize safety, durability, and non-toxic materials when shopping for my kids. I specifically love Piccalio because I know their products have been tested for over 10,000 chemical emissions and VOCs, meeting the highest standards of testing.

It gives me peace of mind knowing I’m creating a cleaner environment for my kids to thrive in. I really prioritize clean living in all areas of our house and their playroom is no different.

Piccalio: How have your littles enjoyed Piccalio so far?

Brittany Xavier: My littles have loved the Piccalio pieces! They’re enjoying the playful designs, and Poppy uses the helper tower daily to help me make my morning coffees and brush her teeth. It gives her a sense of independence and I love that she’s right by my side while helping out around the house because she’s excited to use it.

I'm excited to see how my son enjoys them as be grows older, too. They are pieces we will cherish for years to come.
