Reversible Chair

A Montessori chair is a child-sized chair, typically made of natural wood. Dr. Montessori was one of the first people to create child-sized furniture. She noticed children benefit from being able to arrange and use furniture independently.

To teach your child to use their chair the Montessori way, show them how to safely move the chair where they want to sit. Our toddler chair is perfect for reading books, sitting at a table, or putting on shoes.

A 2 year old should sit in a child-sized chair. For optimal sitting position, your child’s hips, knees, and ankles should all bend at a 90 degree angle. This ensures your child is comfortable and also promotes good posture.

Our Reversible Chair offers three height options, growing with your child. The lowest seat height, ideal for toddlers, is 6.3 inches tall. The medium seat height is 7.6 inches, and as a stool, it’s 16 inches tall.

Our wooden toddler chair comes fully assembled and ready to use. So, you don’t need to use any tools or assemble it at all.

A toddler chair should be the right size for your toddler to sit comfortably, with hips, knees, and ankles all bending at 90 degrees. Because toddlers grow quickly, we made our toddler chair to feature three seating heights. Just flip it over for a better fit as your child grows.

Use a damp, clean cloth to wipe the surfaces. Slight maintenance may be required over time.

Don’t leave or store your Piccalio products outside. They are protected by a lacquer coating but are made of wood and are therefore susceptible to damage caused by exposure to rain and wet conditions.

We recommend keeping our wood products in dry, non-humid environments, and kept away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances that produce heat.

The Reversible Rainbow Chair is made from sustainably sourced FSC® European solid beech wood. We use a 0-VOC water-based finish that is formaldehyde, phthalate, substances/lead free.
