A wobble board is a board with a half sphere on the bottom that can move in any direction while a balance board typically allows more of a back and forth movement. A balance board is typically a longer, curved board, or a board with a cylinder attached to the bottom.
Playing should be fun. But also safe. Piccalio toys and furniture all have a children’s product certificate. They’re non-toxic, FSC certified wood, and compliant with ASTM, Prop65, and the FDA too. We never use harmful chemicals or substances in the making or manufacturing of our products.
The Surfer Balance Board is made from FSC Certified (sustainably harvested) European Beech plywood. We use a 0-VOC water-based finish that is formaldehyde and lead free.
The weight limit is up to 485 lbs (220 kg).

Balance Boards are often introduced once children are confidently standing and beginning to explore movement and balance. For most children, this is after they’re 1-year-old. As children grow, the board continues to support new challenges—from simple rocking and stepping to imaginative play structures and more advanced balance activities.
