Stackable Play Shelf

You can use Montessori shelves from birth through the elementary years. For babies up to one year, choose shelves that are low to the ground. Also, limit the number of activities and toys to avoid overwhelming the child. For toddlers, shelves can be slightly higher and you can include more shelves. Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5 can manage several tiers of shelves. As a general rule, keep the shelf height about ten inches below the child’s height.
